Leadership Conference Coming Soon
The 43rd Annual PAEC Leadership Conference will be held this month! The conference will be broadcast live on the Florida Education Channel from PAEC in Chipley, and will reach every district in Florida and beyond. FSUS Receives SMART Showcase School Recognition
The Florida State University School (FSUS) Developmental Research School has received the distinction of being selected as a SMART™ Showcase School. They will serve as a host site for other schools or districts interested in learning more about how to improve teaching and learning through the integration of technology into the classroom and curriculum. Brenda Crouch Named PAEC Employee of the Year
The PAEC Employee of the Month program recognizes the contributions of outstanding employees to the organization. Since 2004, one PAEC employee has been recognized each month, based on customer service, job knowledge/ productivity, work ethic, and being a team player. Regional Transition Council Honors Outstanding Students
Throughout the year, the PAEC Regional Transition Council presents awards to students who are doing an outstanding job of meeting the challenge of transitioning from high school into adult life. This year, four students who were motivated, capable, and already making valuable contributions in their communities were recognized. The successful partnerships between school systems and the local businesses that hire these students and give them an opportunity to succeed were also showcased. Full Story.

STEM Education Conference Scheduled for July 25 – 27
Florida's first STEM Education Conference, bringing together leaders from business, education, economic and workforce development, will be held July 25 - 27 in Lake Buena Vista. The Conference will feature interactive sessions during which Florida's STEM stakeholders will review the outcomes of the recently held regional Business Roundtables, find out how Florida's current education and training delivery system is aligned to address those needs, and begin the work on developing Florida's STEM Strategic Plan. Successful STEM programs in Florida and presentations on strategies from other areas will also be featured. Florida's best-of-the best STEM programs will be honored during an awards luncheon at the Conference.
