EXPECTATIONS

RESPECT

Expect to be treated with great respect in these rooms.  This is our home away from home.  Expect us to treat you as if you were our own.  Believe us when we tell you that we are here for you.  (…and our children love us!)   We expect you to show us the same respect that they do.

Also respect your other “family members.”  Give them as much as you do us.

LEARNING

Expect to learn a great deal here – not just academics – but about yourself, responsibility, and our world.

PURPOSE

Expect to work hard.  Hard work is necessary for the achievement of necessary skills, knowledge, goals, and dreams.

Our purpose here is for you to prepare to complete the G.E.D. or high school coursework.  That’s what the focus of this home is.

We expect each of you to complete QUALITY work and to be successful.  Together, we make a great team.

POLICIES

Expect to follow school policies.  There are consequences for not following these rules/policies.  The choice is, of course, yours; however, expect the consequences of your choices to be enforced as necessary.

Please know that if we have to enforce a policy, it is not anything personal.  We honestly and sincerely want you to succeed, but we have to look after our “whole family” and do what is right for all of us.  The policies have been made by us or given to us by our administration or state officials and they are there to benefit our family.

SUPPORT

Expect us to support your best efforts to learn.  After all, that is why we are here.

Also, please don’t forget that your mother or maid is not here to pick up after you.  Please be responsible and do that yourself.

Sincerely,

Your Teachers
