Instructional Sports Videos - SportsID.COM

Here is a source for some really great videos for anchored instruction activities. Teachers and students can create a lot of reading, writing and thinking activities based on the content of these sports instructional videos. Get some of your gifted students to work on transcribing the scripts of the videos and you have an anchored reading, writing and spelling vocabulary. Add an electronic graphic organizer such as Inspiration, and students have the tools to chart and organize the information in a variety of ways. This is really powerful stuff for building reading and information organization skills for students who enjoy sports.
