HIGHLIGHTS FROM COMMISSSIONER'S BP AWARD WINNER'S SHARING SESSION|
The Consortium for Florida Education Foundations invited FAPE members Margaret Anne Wheeler, Polk, and Kelly Kostamo, Alachua, leaders among Florida business partnership coordinators to plan, publicize and facilitate a sharing session for participants at the 2012 Commissioners Business Partnership Awards Event. Presentations from award winners ranged from "flu misting" to golf tournaments to dance competitions, to a school facelift. Margaret Ann shares her notes, here, for those who did not attend and might be looking for new business partnership ideas.

The Texas Association of Partners in Education (TAPE) and the National Association for School and Community Engagement (NASCE) will host the National Education Partnerships Conference in historic San Antonio from December 9-11, 2012.
FLORIDA FIRST IN TOP TALENT PIPELINE STATES |
Good news for school/business partnerships! Florida ranks first in higher education efficiency and share of high school seniors taking advanced placement exams. The state ranks fourth for the efficiency of its workforce placement system and eighth in college affordability and ranks in the top eight in four of the six workforce and training measures.
