SUNLINK/FDLRS Universal Access Stations
SUNLINK
equipment funds were provided to twenty-two SUNLINK schools for establishing
a pilot universal access station customized for students with disabilities.
Library media specialists from those schools attended a training week
sponsored by FDLRS at the beginning of June. In addition to equipment
funding from SUNLINK, a wide range of adaptive equipment and software
was provided to each of these schools by FDLRS/TECH,
ATEN and other partners.
Schools were selected by their local FDLRS team from a list of SUNLINK schools in good standing. This is a unique project which we hope will help many students including those with special needs. We will have a complete universal access station at FAME for all to see and use.
