PAEC is pleased to have the opportunity to serve the state of Florida as the fiscal agent for the Just Read, Florida Summer Professional Development Institute project.  The Institute is provided by the Florida

Department of Education’s Just Read, Florida! Office, in partnership with the Reading First Professional

Development Office.

2009 Guidelines

Developers:

· Institute developers will receive a Developer Reimbursement Package, electronically, which will include instructions, sample forms, and forms to complete and submit to PAEC.  A Developer Reimbursement Package may also be downloaded from the Reimbursement link.  It will be at the developers discretion to submit necessary forms and receipts by the required deadlines.

· Developers will be eligible to receive payment of $300/day for up to four days per Summer Professional Development, as well as be reimbursed for any legitimate travel expenses.

· Due to auditor requests, developers will be required to sign-in & out each day they work.

 

Conveners:

· Conveners will receive $2,500 for hosting an Institute.  Payments will be mailed within 6 weeks of the conclusion of the Institute and receipt of invoice and sign-in sheets by PAEC.

· Conveners will be provided a Convener Invoicing Package, electronically, which will include instructions for invoicing, a W-9 form, a sample invoice and an invoice template.  A Convener Invoicing Package may also be downloaded from the Reimbursement link.

 

Districts Requesting Teacher Stipend Reimbursement:

· A District Stipend Reimbursement Package will be provided, electronically, to every Florida school district.  The Package will include instructions for invoicing, a sample invoice and an invoice template.  A District Stipend Reimbursement Package may also be downloaded from the Reimbursement link.

· A stipend of $50/day will be reimbursed for eligible participants.

(Note: Stipend amount is determined by Just Read, Florida!)

· Attendees who did not pre-register will NOT be eligible for stipend reimbursement.
