Purchasing Conference Demonstrates Value of Cooperative Purchasing
The first ever PAEC Florida Statewide Purchasing Conference was held in conjunction with the 46th Annual FloridaLearns Foundation/PAEC Leadership Conference and attracted purchasing and finance directors from several school districts as well as city and county purchasing personnel.
The conference was designed to inform and educate school leaders, purchasing directors, and finance directors on how to save significant dollars on products and services through the PAEC State Cooperative Purchasing program. Through the affiliation with the Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies (AEPA), The purchasing program leverages the buying power of 26 member state to deliver rock bottom pricing on a large array of products and services.
Speakers for the conference included Scott Crosby, the Executive Director of the Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies who offered advice on how to maximize buying power by working with cooperative purchasing programs such as the PAEC Cooperative State Purchasing Program.
