Date Set for 2014 FloridaLearns Foundation/PAEC Leadership Conference

The Panhandle Area Educational Consortium announced plans for the 47th Annual FloridaLearns Foundation/PAEC Leadership Conference. The annual conference attracts hundreds of school leaders from around the state of Florida and beyond to hear the latest information and trends in K-12 education.

A full slate of speakers including Dr. Mark Edwards who was named the National Superintendent of the Year this past February by the American Association of School Administrators during their annual conference. In 2007, Dr. Edwards made the bold move to swap out textbooks for digital learning, with the intent of creating a “culture of digital conversion” for every student, every teacher and every administrator in Mooresville North Carolina. In just five years, the transformation for this small district has been astounding and is reflected in the incredible gains his students have made.

The conference, themed “Education for All-The American Way", is set for July 16-17 at the Wyndham Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. Registration for the conference is open and can be accessed at
