STAR Plan
ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

District:
  1. The administrator is not required to apply for the STAR award.
  2. Elementary, middle and high school administrators who supervise or directly assist the instructional personnel whose student achievement results in a STAR Plan award will be eligible for consideration.
  3. Any remaining funds and any additional funds distributed from a recalculation after April 1, 2007 will be utilized in the following way:


  4. The primary factor (50%) in determining the award for each individual is the improvement in achievement for that individual's students. In addition, the following factors will be considered:
    School improvement goals met or exceeded
    Learning gains by at least two subgroups
    Attainment of AYP for school year 2006-07
    Decreased retention rates
    Decreased discipline referrals
    Increased parent involvement
    Other professional competencies and district requirements (please specify)


  5. Administrators will be evaluated using the following rating categories:
    Outstanding
    High Performing
    Satisfactory
    Needs Improvement
    Unsatisfactory
