The Florida Center for Reading Research conducts applied research on reading, reading growth, reading assessment and reading instruction that will contribute to the scientific knowledge of reading and have an immediate impact on policy and practices related to literacy instruction and assessment. The center also disseminates disseminate information about research-based practices related to literacy instruction and assessment for children in pre-school through 12th grade.
Florida Online Reading Professional Development (FOR-PD) is an online staff development project designed to help teachers improve reading instruction for learners in grades preK-12. Their resources link is excellent!
The Literacy Web at the University of Connecticut The Literacy Web is designed to promote the use of the Internet as a tool to assist classroom teachers in their search for best practices in literacy instruction.

The Partnership invites you to explore this site for information on the research, principles about reading instruction suggested by the research, and products for parents, teachers, administrators, and policy-makers.
The Proactive Parent is a website by parents for parents to help them help their children to learn - especially reading. This site offers many resources.
