The National Institute for Literacy
The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) is a federal organization that shares information about literacy and supports the development of high-quality literacy services so all Americans can develop essential basic skills.

Read Naturally  was developed by reading teacher Candyce Ihnot in 1989 and 1990 as a practical approach to fluency instruction. The READ NATURALLY program combines three powerful strategies for improving fluency: teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring.

BalancedReading.com  provides research-based information about reading instruction to educators. Their mission is to bring research into practice.

Readers Theater  One of the links of the eMINTS National Center which is a collaborative education program sponsored by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the University of Missouri System Office of Academic Affairs.

Reading A-Z  offers thousands of printable teacher materials to teach guided reading, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, reading fluency, alphabet, and vocabulary. The teaching resources include professionally developed downloadable leveled books, lesson plans, worksheets, and reading assessments. Some resources are free others require a subscription.
