Welcome to Schools and Libraries Training "Back to the New Basics," online training. The Panhandle Area Educational Consortium is pleased to support schools, school districts, libraries, and consortia in their efforts to successfully file for "E-Rate" support by providing a series of training videos. The videos are broadcast on the Florida Education Channel, available at DISH Network Satellite 61.5 and 148, Channel 9418 and from certain cable companies. The videos are also available for viewing, at no charge, via Web-streaming and in DVD format, for the duplicating cost, from the FloridaLearns Clearinghouse:

"E-Rate" support, provides affordable telecommunications and Internet access services to connect schools and libraries to the Internet. Service providers that provide discounts on eligible services to eligible schools, school districts, libraries, and consortia of these entities are eligible for this support. The videos that you will see, as a part of this course, were made during the training sessions offered by the Universal Service Administrative Company in Orlando, Florida, during the fall of 2007. Training sessions were carefully planned and presented by experts in order to provide schools, school districts, libraries and consortia timely, accurate, and up-to-date information necessary to comply with eligibility requirements and take steps to use the supported services effectively.
