| I grew up in Vandergrift, PA. I attended Carlow College in
Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Ed., Early Childhood Ed. and
Psychology in 1989. I moved to South Carolina in 1990 and taught 3rd and 4th grade for 5
years. I married Mike Renaud in 1993 and we relocated to North Carolina in 1995. I began
teaching in the Special Education field at a state residential institution for severe and
profound adults. I went back to the classroom and taught EMH/TMH special needs students at
the elementary level for 5 years. I had my daughter, Isabella in 1997 and completed my
masters degree in Special Education from North Carolina Central University in August of
2000 with certification in Mental Retardation and Emotionally/Behaviorally Disabled. We
relocated to Florida with my husband's employer and we currently live in Marianna. I teach
the Communications Classroom at Kate M. Smith which currently serves many of our autistic
students from Kindergarten through 4th grade. |
