Mrs. Stewart

I am Virginia Hodson Stewart. I was born and raised in Pensacola, Fla. I graduated from Woodham High School in 1972, Pensacola Jr. College in 1974, and UWF in 1977; majoring in Elementary / Early Childhood Education. I Married Harold Stewart in 1975. He works at International Paper in Pensacola. We have 4 children: Joseph, 26, lives in Orlando and works at ABC as a computer tech and Elbert, 24, works as a paraprofessional at Tommy Smith Elementary. April, 23, works as a paraprofessional at Kate Smith Elementary, and Canniff, 21, works at West Point and attends Chiploa Jr. College. We moved here in 1985 to be near my family and I am very thankful we did. I started working at KMS in 1989 as a paraprofessional in kindergarten and later in the Pre K Handicap class. I began teaching the Pre K Inclusion class in 1996.
I have always wanted to be a teacher, I can remember when I was young my older brother Malcolm who is mentally handicaped, coming to me saying Acky look what I did and asking me to help him with his homework.
