Philosophy of Education
I have an eclectic philosophy on classroom management, one that includes different elements from
different philosophical systems. I believe in emphasizing the learner’s abilities to choose what
they study and that educators should provide opportunities for the development of learner’s problem
solving skills to help cope with the challenges of change. The example I present as a teacher will
impact and shape students behavior and personal views regarding their sense of morality and ethics.
I believe in using small group activities to help develop cooperative learning and foster team
building skills in students. I think students have individual learning styles that are different.
I recognize and give specific praise and use proximity to all students in the classroom. Lastly, I
believe that students should be exposed to critical thinking opportunities in education regarding
the growth of their moral, social, ethical and spiritual values.
